The Inside Story
When you are trusting the care of the most important non-human person in your life to someone, it matters who they are. They have to love animals an unreasonable amount; be knowledgable, kind, patient, caring. You want them to ask the right questions, reassure you, be flexible to the families needs.
Friendly Ginger Pet & Horse Care meet all such expectations. We have an unlimited amount of passion for animals, adore being around them; we have patience to match our energy and experience for most occasions.
Jane Eve is the main face and creator of Friendly Ginger, her flame coloured locks being the inspiration behind our name. Having been around all sorts of animals all her life, Jane recently arrived in the countryside having lived in built up areas since childhood. The commitment at which she addresses any task asked of her ensures that her clients, animal or human, are provided with more passion than they could ask for. She is Animal First Aid qualified having completed a course at The College of Animal Welfare, is Police Checked and fully insured under the companies policy with Cliverton Insurance. Jane also volunteers some of her time to the RSPCA shop in Street, having previously worked as a manager at The Disney Store. Her animal companions are Fudge and Nala. Fudge is her equine counterpart. Diminutive in size, she certainly makes up for it in personality. Currently recovering from a tendon injury, Fudge previously enjoyed much success partnered by Jane in the showjumping world, both unaffiliated and senior affiliated. (Big showjumpers do not scare this pony!) Nala is also a growing personality. In the form of a flatcoated retriever, she currently weighs in at just over 8kg at just 13 weeks of age. She is a confident pup and is destined for great things having already been photographed with members of the Taunton Heart FM team at a recent RSPCA event.
We have so far cared for dogs, cats, horses, sheep, llamas & goats. I will update this list as it will only get longer and more interesting. Guineas pigs to add!
All of us here at Friendly Ginger look forward to hearing from you soon. We are always out and about in the local area so if you ever see us, do come over and say hello.
